Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
IronFreeTools is a collection of free, browser-based PDF and document tools operated by Iron Software. This policy explains what happens to your files and what data we collect when you use the site.
Your files
Most IronFreeTools utilities process files entirely in your browser. For those tools, your documents never leave your device: no upload, no cloud storage, no queue.
A small number of tools (such as HTML to PDF, URL to PDF, and Markdown to PDF) require server-side rendering. Where that is the case, it is clearly stated on the tool's page. Content sent to our rendering service is processed transiently to produce your output and is not retained after the conversion completes.
No accounts
IronFreeTools requires no sign-up, no email address, and no personal information to use any tool.
Usage statistics
We count how many times each tool completes successfully. These are anonymous, aggregate counters (for example, they power the "Most Popular Tools" section) and contain no file contents or personal data.
Analytics
We use third-party analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it:
- Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location.
- Microsoft Clarity — collects interaction data such as clicks, scrolling, and session replays to help us find usability problems. Clarity does not capture the contents of files you process.
Both services set cookies; see our Cookie Policy for details and how to opt out.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your files with anyone — for browser-side tools we never have them in the first place.
